Guide to boosting a server
If you're ready to give your Discord server a boost, follow the simple instructions below:
a – Select the server to boost
First, you need to select the server you want to boost. Once you're on that server, navigate to the Server Settings drop-down menu and click the Server Boost button.
b – Confirm boosts and perks
After selecting the Boost button, you will see a new screen. This displays the benefits you currently have as well as the number of server boosters already applied for this server.
If everything looks legit, confirm it by clicking the Boost This Server button.
Keep in mind that this screen also gives you the option to "Gift Nitro" to someone else. If you feel generous, you can click this button first.
c – Confirmation page (again!)
Discord really wants to make sure you know what you're signing up for, so you'll need to re-confirm.
After clicking the confirmation button, they will ask you again. This is your chance to backtrack if you have any doubts.
Discord knows you really want to boost a server. They just want to make sure you're boosting the right one. If everything is still correct, press the Boost button one last time.
Be aware, however, that you cannot transfer this Boost to another server for seven days if you boost this one.
d – Select your boost number

After the confirmation screen is the place to do this.
Discord asks you to choose the number of boosts you want for this server. Don't worry, though! You can see the subtotal before paying for it.
To change the number of server boosts, select the plus or minus symbol in the window.
e – Payment information
You're close to the finish line, but there are a few things you need to take care of first, namely your billing information.
Discord gives you a full breakdown of your current bill as well as the Boost purchase so there are no surprises. It's an abbreviated view, however. If you need more information, you can click on the Details button.
This convenient window also allows you to confirm your credit card information to pay for the purchase. As a Discord user, the information is pre-populated.
Also, you get the legal bits of the Discord Terms of Service Agreement. Read it carefully and click on the “I accept” box.
When you agree with everything displayed on the payment page, click the Buy button to complete your Boost.
If all goes well, the next screen you'll see is the one celebrating your new Server Boost.

Levels and perks to unlock
Each level unlocked comes with a variety of perks. But you need people to use their Server Boosts to your server for it to work.
Here's what the tier breakdown looks like:
Level 1 with 2 server boosts
First, you get 50 extra Emoji slots, bringing your total to 100 emojis. You also get a smooth 128 Kbps increase in audio quality. Moreover, your live streams are also enhanced. Considering an increase up to 720P 60 FPS for Go Live.
You also get a client server invitation background as well as an animated server icon.
Level 2 with 15 server boosts
When you unlock Tier 2, you get all the benefits of Tier 1 and then some. You get 50 more emoji slots for a total of 150 when you also include Level 1. You also get better audio quality at 256Kbps and your Go Live streams get another boost at 1080P 60FPS.
Additionally, Tier 2 gives you a server banner as well as a 50MB upload limit on the server for all members.
Level 3 with 30 server boosts
As you might have already guessed, level 3 gives you access to everything in the previous levels. But your number of emoji slots increases to 250 with 100 more added for this level. You also get another improvement in audio quality at 384 Kbps.
You really can't go any further for Go Live streaming quality, so Discord gives you a higher upload limit. Level 3 also gives you access to a custom URL to use however you see fit. Use any phrase, combination of numbers or words to link to your server.
