How to Live Stream on YouTube from a PS4

Do you want to stream live gameplay on YouTube? The PS4 makes things very easy, but first and foremost, linking your accounts is essential. Here's how to start:

  1. Open the Settings menu on your PS4.
  2. Go to “Account Management”.
  3. Select the "Link to other services" option.
  4. Choose YouTube from the list.
  5. Press the "Connection" button.
  6. Sign in to the Google account you use on YouTube.
  7. When prompted, tap the "Allow" button to let PlayStation Network verify your credentials.
  8. Press the "OK" button to complete the synchronization of your accounts.

Once you've done that, it's time to set up your PS4 for live streaming.

  5. Sign in using your Microsoft/Xbox account.
  6. Click the menu icon in the upper left corner.
  7. Select the "Login" option.

OBS is a leading free streaming app that works great with YouTube. But before you can start streaming live, you need to meet the specific channel requirements, verify the account, and get your stream key. See the steps below to get started:

  1. Open YouTube Studio.
  2. Click the Camera icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Select the “Go Live” option.
  4. Choose “Scheduled stream”.
  5. Press the "Create Stream" button.
  6. Find the auto-generated key under the Broadcast Settings panel.
  7. Copy the key.

Now is the time to link your accounts.

  1. Open OBS Studio.
  2. Go to the Settings menu.
  3. Access the Video and Output tabs.
  4. Configure your feed as you wish.

Can I live stream without 1 subscribers?

The short answer is no. You cannot create a live stream on YouTube until you have at least 1 subscribers and verified your channel. You also cannot have had any streaming restrictions in the previous 000 days.
