How to log in to multiple Facebook accounts

Both the standard Facebook app and the web version do not allow users to log into more than one account at a time. While Facebook for mobile devices lets you switch between accounts, it's not the same as using two simultaneously. Fortunately, there are still ways to circumvent this limitation.

Using multiple Facebook accounts at once is possible even without downloading other apps. If you're curious about how to do this, look no further. Read on for all the details and tips.

How to Connect to 2 Facebook Accounts on an iPhone

Even though the Facebook app supports switching accounts with just a few clicks, it's still not the same as opening two instances of Facebook at once. Thus, you should not use the app if you want to use two accounts at once.

The best thing to do is to use a cell phone internet browser. iPhones come with Safari, which supports private browsing. Private Browsing is an easy workaround, allowing you to log into two Facebook accounts from the same browser. If you don't use this feature, connecting to two Facebook accounts on mobile is not possible.

The main reason why users cannot use more than one account is the cookie conflict. Each account occupies one session and cannot run two sets of cookies simultaneously. That's why you can't open two accounts at once in the same browser without special tools.

However, private browsing opens another internet browsing session with different cookies. This feature also allows you to completely bypass the limitation.

Here are the basic instructions for connecting to two Facebook accounts on an iPhone:

  1. On your iPhone, open Safari.
  2. Press the "Tabs" button.
  3. Select the down arrow and display the list of tab groups.
  4. Select "Private" from the list.
  5. Tap "Done" to confirm your decision.
  6. Using the incognito tab, head to the official Facebook login page.
  7. Log in with your details.
  8. Repeat steps 2-7 with another account.
  9. Swap from account to account if you need to.

However, this is not the only method you can use. Many people like Google Chrome which is also available on iPhone. You can sign in to one Facebook account on Chrome and another on Safari. The advantage of this trick is that you don't need to use private browsing.

  1. Launch Safari on your iPhone.
  2. Go to the Facebook login page.
  3. Enter an account email and password.
  4. Login.
  5. Switch to Google Chrome or another browser.
  6. Head to the same login page.
  7. Enter details for another account.
  8. Log in to your second account.
  9. Switch between the two as often as you like.

With two different browsers, cookies will not conflict at all. Although you have to press a few more times, it's a good alternative for those who don't want to use private browsing mode.

A third option is to use the Facebook app with a browser. You should already be logged into the app, so just log into another account on Safari or another browser.

  1. Open any browser on your iPhone.
  2. Go to the Facebook login page.
  3. Go to an account that your Facebook app doesn't use.
  4. Trade between this application and the Facebook client.

Whatever your favorite trick, it works well for accessing two accounts simultaneously, especially if they're both in the same browser. You can even use more than two at a time if you want.

How to Connect to 2 Facebook Accounts on an Android

Android users tend to use the included Google Chrome browser, which has incognito mode. It works similarly to Safari's Private Browsing, allowing you to create new, separate browsing sessions. However, for those who prefer other browsers, DuckDuckGo, Brave, and Opera are fantastic choices.

All of these browsers have private browsing features or are designed to provide a secure and anonymous experience. The first two are examples of this and can be used to log in to your various accounts.

With this information in mind, you can also use iPhone-like tricks. You can find several sets of instructions below.

These steps are for using incognito mode on Google Chrome:

  1. Launch Google Chrome on your Android device.
  2. Press the Tabs button.
  3. Select the three dots in the upper right corner.
  4. Choose "New Private Browsing Tab" from the list.
  5. Go to the Facebook login page.
  6. Type the details of one of your Facebook accounts.
  7. Log in to the account.
  8. Repeat steps 2-5 to start another Facebook account session.

Incognito mode is functionally similar to Safari's private browsing, preventing cookies from conflicting with each other.

As for using multiple Internet browsers on Android, these instructions will help you. We will assume that you have already installed another browser.

  7. Log in to another account.

Now you can switch between accounts with a tap or two.

Just like on an iPhone, you can also run two apps at once. One will be the official Facebook client for Android. The other can be any Internet browser. We will operate assuming that your Facebook client already has an account that you are currently logged into.

  1. Open any browser on your Android device.
  2. Go to the Facebook login page.
  3. Log in to an account that your Facebook client does not use.
  4. Switch between this browser and the Facebook client for Android.

How to connect to 2 Facebook accounts on a PC

PC users will find using more than one account even more accessible. Most modern browsers come with private browsing and you can log in to your multiple accounts effortlessly.

We'll be using Google Chrome for PC in this example. If you prefer another browser that supports private browsing, the concept will also work the same way.

  1. Open Google Chrome on your PC.
  2. Click on the triple points in the upper right corner of the window.
  3. Select "New incognito window" from the list.
  4. In this new window, open at least two tabs.
  5. Head over to the Facebook site on both.
  6. Log in to separate accounts.

If you don't want to use incognito mode, consider installing a different browser. On Windows, Microsoft Edge is already out of the box. However, anything else is a suitable candidate.

  1. On Google Chrome for PC, go to the Facebook login page.
  2. Enter account details to login.
  3. Open another browser of your choice.
  4. Head to the same website.
  5. In the fields, enter the email address and password of another account.
  6. Access the second account.

You can use as many browsers as you want for this trick. Even combining multiple browsers with incognito mode will work. As long as there are multiple browsing sessions, you can log into multiple accounts at once.

There is a third option for PC users to download particular extensions for Google Chrome or any compatible browser. These extensions allow you to use the same browser for multiple Facebook accounts without the need for private browsing.

This is also my account

Those who prefer to keep their business accounts separate from personal Facebook profiles can use the tips above without much effort.
