When it comes to video conferencing, Zoom is one of the best choices out there. It doesn't matter if you use it at home or in the office, it will connect your team members in no time.
But you don't have to use the video function if it's not necessary. You can simply set up a profile photo and use the audio-only option.
Adding a profile photo is more personal than showing just your name in a meeting. In this article, we'll show you how to change your profile picture and other useful customization options.
Adding a Zoom profile picture
One of the great things about Zoom is that you can customize your profile in multiple ways. To change the settings, you will need to access your profile through the Zoom web portal. So, if you have the perfect profile picture ready, here's what you need to do:
- Log in to your Zoom account and select Settings.
- Click on Profile, you will see the option to change your profile picture. To select Switch.
- Upload the image you want and adjust it to fit well.
You can refresh your page and check your profile picture. If you're not happy with how it looks, just repeat the process. Or, if you change your mind about a Zoom profile picture, just select Delete.
Also remember that your image should be no larger than 2MB and should be in one of the following formats: PNG, JPG or GIF.
On the same profile page, you can also edit other personal information. Next to your profile picture is your display name. You can select edit in the upper right corner of the screen and edit it. You can also edit your email address and change your Zoom user type.
Adding an image during the call
The next time you're on a Zoom video call and decide to turn off your camera, the other participants will see your profile picture. But you can also add a profile picture during your Zoom video call.
- Right click on Suite the video preview and select Edit profile.

Disable profile pictures

Add an image to your Google account for Zoom
There are four ways to log in to your Zoom account. You can use your work email address, Facebook, single sign-on, or use your Google account. In the latter case, Zoom will automatically upload your Google or Gmail profile picture as the Zoom profile picture.
If your Google profile is without a picture, you can add it to it first, then sign in to Zoom. This way you will have the same image in both places with one download. Here's how to change your Google Account photo:
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Select Parameters in the upper right corner of the screen.
- In the menu, select My picture then choose an image.

- When the image is uploaded, select Finished.
